Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 July 2026

This policy explains what happens to your data when you use CutClean (cutclean.app). We've kept it plain — no legal padding where we can avoid it.

The short version

1. Image processing

CutClean's upscaling, background removal, and watermark tools run using your device's own processing power, inside your browser. When you upload a photo, it is loaded directly into your browser's memory and is not transmitted to CutClean's servers or stored by us in any form. Closing the tab or refreshing the page permanently discards it.

If in future we introduce optional cloud-based processing (for higher-quality AI models), that feature will be clearly labelled and require your consent before any image leaves your device.

2. Information we collect directly

We collect very little directly. This may include:

DataPurpose
Email addressIf you create an account or purchase credits/Pro, to identify your account and send purchase confirmations
Usage counters (e.g. images processed this session)Shown to you in the interface; not linked to your identity unless you have an account
General device/browser info (via standard server logs)Security, debugging, and abuse prevention

3. Cookies and third-party services

CutClean uses or plans to use the following third-party services, each of which may set its own cookies or collect data under its own privacy policy:

If you're in the UK/EU, you'll see a cookie consent banner on your first visit where you can accept or reject non-essential cookies (advertising and analytics). Essential cookies needed for the site to function cannot be disabled.

4. How long we keep data

Images are never stored, so there's nothing to retain or delete on that front. Account and billing information is kept for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for legal, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

5. Your rights

If you're in the UK or EU, you have rights under UK GDPR/GDPR including the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. If you're elsewhere, we'll generally honour the same requests as a matter of good practice.

6. Children's privacy

CutClean is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves (for example, when we add new ad partners or payment features). We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Significant changes will be flagged on the site.

8. Contact

Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to privacy@cutclean.app.
